Firefighters to Sponsor Youth Haircuts for Back to School

Haircuts are scheduled for Aug. 26-28 in different locations in Fairfax County.

Fairfax County firefighters will be sponsoring haircuts for children from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 26-28 at different location in the county.

According to a recent news release, off duty firefighters, Progressive Firefighters of Fairfax County, Inc., WKYS 93.9 FM, Apple Federal Credit Union, Keith Burns Foundation and local barbers throughout the community will provide free haircuts for local kids on free or reduced lunch plans in anticipation of the new school year.

Free haircuts for children will be provided at the following locations:

Reston Southgate Community Center
Southgate Community Center
12125 Pinecrest Road, Reston, Virginia
9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, August 28, 2013

Gum Springs Community Center
8100 Fordson Road, Alexandria, Virginia
9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013

Charles Houston Recreation Center
901 Wythe Street, Alexandria, Virginia
9 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday, August 26, 2013
