Fairfax County police have released a composite sketch of the suspect from an attempted burglary and assault in Burke in August.

ReadPolice: Burke Woman Assaulted During Attempted Burglary


A 37-year-old Burke woman was assaulted at her home on Scarborough Commons Court on Friday, Aug. 23 after a man tried to force himself into the residence. When the woman attempted to push the man away, he struck her in her upper body and then fled. The woman sustained minor injuries.

The suspect is described in the initial news alert as a Hispanic man in his 20s, around 5 feet 9 inches tall with brown hair and weighing about 180 lbs. He was wearing a black T-shirt and jeans at the time of the reported incident.
