Herndon Police Report: Vodka, Red Bull Among Items Listed Stolen

Herndon Police reported that a bus stop sign was hit and the vehicle fled the scene.

The Herndon Police Department reported the following incidents from Jan. 21 through Jan. 27, 2013. The following information was supplied by the Herndon Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction. 

BRUIN DISTRICT
• A 42-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 3:41 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the 600 block of Center Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 8:01 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 500 block of Florida Avenue. 

GOLF COURSE DISTRICT
• The victim reported their GPS unit was stolen from their unsecured vehicle between 11:30 p.m. on an. 25 and 1 a.m. on Jan. 26 in the 800 block of Autumn Breeze Court.
• Three juvenile subjects were found to have been consuming alcohol at 1:11 a.m. on Jan. 26 in the 1400 block of Herndon Parkway.
• A noise complaint was reported at 9:54 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the 1200 block of Springtide Place. 

HALEY SMITH DISTRICT
• A 38-year-old Stephens City man was arrested for malicious wounding at 3:25 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 400 block of Van Buren Street.
• The victim reported being assaulted by an acquaintance at 6:51 p.m. on Jan. 23 in the 400 block of Van Buren Street.
• A subject attempted to shoplift a watch from a business at 6:04 p.m. on Jan. 22 in the 400 block of Elden Street.
• The victim reported their credit cards were stolen from their purse while at a restaurant at 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 in the 200 block of Sunset Business Park Drive. The cards were used to make unauthorized purchases.
• The victim reported a ring and earrings were missing from their residence at 3:49 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the 1200 block of Magnolia Lane.
• A bus stop sign appeared to have been struck by a vehicle that fled the scene at 10 a.m. on Jan. 23 in the 400 block of Elden Street. 

RUNNYMEDE DISTRICT
• The victim reported a subject or subjects broke into their residence between 5:30 a.m. and 3:50 p.m. and stole several firearms on Jan. 25 in the 1000 block of Queens Court.
• The victim reported being intimidated by an acquaintance at 2:24 p.m. on Jan. 24 in the 1000 block of Saber Lane.
• A 30-year-old Herndon man was arrested for assault at 10:58 p.m. on Jan. 24 in the 900 block of Leona Lane.
• A 55-year-old Herndon woman was arrested for assault at 11:50 p.m. on Jan. 24 in the 900 block of Ashburn Street.
• A 21-year-old Sterling man was arrested for larceny at 5:26 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 200 block of Meeting House Station Square.
• Graffiti was reported found in the area at 1:35 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• The victim reported their vehicle was damaged with spray paint between 3:50 p.m. and 6:50 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 800 block of Locust Street.
• A 24-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving without a license at 8:08 a.m. on Jan. 21 in the 700 block of Lynn Street.
• A noise complaint was reported at 8:17 p.m. on Jan. 24 in the 1100 block of Clarke Street. 

CENTER DISTRICT
• The victim reported a subject or subjects broke into their residence between 9:45 a.m. and 12:15 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 1200 block of Wilshire Drive. Jewelry, electronics, video games and cash were reported stolen.
• A subject shoplifted a bottle of vodka from a business at 11:17 a.m. on Jan. 26 in the 1200 block of Elden Street.
• A subject attempted to shoplift a can of Red Bull from a business at 9:10 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the 1000 block of Elden Street.
• The windshield of a parked vehicle was reported damaged between 8 p.m. on Jan. 18 and 10:35 p.m. on Jan. 21 in the 1000 block of Alabama Drive.
• A trespassing was reported at 12:06 a.m. on Jan. 23 in the 1200 block of Elden Street. 

OTHER INCIDENTS
• A 27-year-old Herndon man was arrested for driving while intoxicated at 2:02 a.m. on Jan. 26 near the intersection of Elden Street and Worldgate Drive.
• A 38-year-old Stephens City man was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Winchester at 4:08 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 900 block of Alabama Drive.
• A 24-year-old Herndon woman was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Frederick County at 6:54 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 400 block of Van Buren Street.
• Herndon Police reported the following traffic incidents from Jan. 21-27: four incidents of reckless driving, one incident of driving under the influence, 54 incidents of speeding, two incidents of no operators license, six incidents of driving while on a suspended or revoked license, and 19 incidents of expired or no Town of Herndon sticker.
