  • Your holiday shopping can benefit the .  Each time you use Good Search and Good Shop to search and shop online, the visited web site makes a donation to Burke Volunteer Fire and Rescue.
  • The West Springfield Police Citizens’ Advisory Committee provides holiday meals at the station for officers who must be away from their families on Christmas Day. To support Holiday Meals for Officers, mail a check (payable to Howard Lincoln, CAC Treasurer) to Citizens' Advisory Committee, , 6140 Rolling Road, Springfield, VA 22152.
  • Hair Cuttery salons throughout Northern Virginia are collecting gently used coats, jackets, hats, scarves and mittens for Krausey’s Koats, a national effort to gather cold-weather gear for those in need. The collection takes place through Jan. 1, 2012. Donations can be brought to any Hair Cuttery location, including or during business hours.
  • in partnership with the , is sponsoring the Share the Warmth Coat Drive. Gently used coats may be donated at any branch, including and Burke & Herbert Bank Springfield at 6200 Backlick Road.
