House Fire on Willow Pond Lane

Firefighters responded to a 5:05 p.m. call for 9308 Willow Pond Lane in Burke on Friday.

Farifax County Fire and Rescue Department spokesman Dan Schmidt said firefighters found smoke and flames coming from the front of the house, and from the front and back of the roof.  "All of the occupants of the house were outside when firefighters arrived," he said.

It took 30 minutes to control the one alarm blaze. There were no injuries.

Firefighters from Burke, West Springfield, West Annandale, Annandale and Pohick responded.

Schmidt said the cause of the fire and location of its start are unknown at this time, and are being investigated.
