New FCPD Chief to Host Countywide CAC Meeting Next Week

Col. Edwin Roessler will speak with residents and explain his vision for the future of the department during a public Citizens' Advisory Committee meeting.

Burke-area residents are invited to meet the new Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) Chief Col. Edwin Roessler and voice their neighborhood concerns at a countywide Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting next week.

The public meeting will be in the A-level conference room of the Massey Building, located at 4100 Chain Bridge Rd. in Fairfax, on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 6:30 p.m.

Roessler will speak with residents and explain his vision for the future of the department and the CAC's.

The West Springfield District Station, which meets every first Tuesday of the month, held their first meeting the fall schedule last week. 

Capt. Joe Hill, commander of the West Springfield District Station, gave an overview of current crime statistics for the district so far in 2013.
