No Injuries in Springfield House Fire Thursday Morning

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Fairfax County Fire and Rescue units responded to a house fire at 8134 Carr Place in Springfield Thursday morning. There were no civilian or personnel injuries.

According to Capt. William Moreland of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department, units arrived on scene at approximately 10 a.m. to find heavy flames coming from the garage area of the home. There was some extension into the main part of the home, but firefighters were able to attack the fire and get it under control before it could spread further.

Three adults and two animals have been displaced. It is not yet known how much damage was done to the home or if the owners have accepted Red Cross assistance.
