Police: Burke Man Charged with 'Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm'

West Springfield District Station

Unlawful Discharge, 5800 block of Fitzhugh Street, 8/10/13, 11:40 p.m. Officers responded for the sound of possible gunshots. Following an investigation, Clifton Sevachko, 55, of Burke, was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm.

Burglary, 5500 block of Inverchapel Road, 8/12/13, 11 p.m. A resident reported someone entered the home and stole cash. Forced entry was made through a window.

Peeping, 10200 block of Colston Court, 8/14/13, 2:30 a.m. A 25-year-old woman awoke to see a man looking into the home. The man fled when she threw a pillow at the window.

Robbery, 11200 block of James Swart Circle, 8/13/13, 2:20 a.m. A 24-year-old man was entering his car when another man allegedly demanded the vehicle and assaulted the victim. Following an investigation, James Welch, 38, of New Jersey, was charged with carjacking and being drunk in public.
