Police Make Arrest in West Springfield Burglary

Ohio man stole pistols, prescription drugs and cash; arrested in South Carolina.

An Ohio man has been arrested in South Carolina for the May 11 burglary of a West Springfield home, police said Monday morning.

"Warrants were obtained for the suspect on May 17 after detectives recovered one of the guns and found other evidence linking the man to the burglary," said Lucy Caldwell, public information officer for the Fairfax County Police Department.

West Springfield District Police were called to a home in the 7900 block of Lake Pleasant Drive in West Springfield on Friday, May 11, at about 6:30 p.m. Officers determined someone had forced entry into the home through a rear door. A suspected burglar took two pistols, prescription drugs and cash.
