FCPD is hoping someone will recognize man who acted suspiciously or his car (see photo).

After a local teen from West Springfield High School was followed home from school Oct. 1, Fairfax County Police detectives have now released a sketch of a possible suspect, as well as a photo of the kind of car he was driving.

Detectives said Friday in a news release they are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who reportedly followed and approached a 16-year-old girl that Monday, around 8 p.m. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Golden Horseshoe Court in Springfield.

The man insisted that the teen had a flat tire and told her she needed to take a closer look at it. The teen knew that this was untrue and she fled.
