Police Release Sketch of Suspect Who Followed Teen Home From School

FCPD is hoping someone will recognize man who acted suspiciously or his car (see photo).

After a local teen from West Springfield High School was followed home from school Oct. 1, Fairfax County Police detectives have now released a sketch of a possible suspect, as well as a photo of the kind of car he was driving.

Detectives said Friday in a news release they are seeking the public’s help in identifying the man who reportedly followed and approached a 16-year-old girl that Monday, around 8 p.m. The incident occurred in the 7000 block of Golden Horseshoe Court in Springfield.

The man insisted that the teen had a flat tire and told her she needed to take a closer look at it. The teen knew that this was untrue and she fled.

While there was no crime committed in this incident, police would like to speak to this man.

He is described as an Asian or Hispanic male in his late 20s. He is believed to be driving a bright blue Subaru Impreza WRX STI with a spoiler on the trunk. The vehicle was seen near West Springfield High School on the evening of the incident.

they really need a better sketch artist if they want this to actually help the public... i mean, unless the girl followed really described the man as having an asymmetrical face...
