Robbery Attempted at Springfield Suntrust

Suspect fled without receiving cash.

Fairfax County Police are investigating an attempted bank robbery that occurred Tuesday, September 27, at the Suntrust Bank at 7205 Commerce Street in Springfield. 

At about 12:05 p.m. a man entered the bank, and passed a note to the teller demanding money.  The suspect fled without receiving any cash.  There were no injuries.

Police said the suspect is described as black, in his 40s, about 6 feet tall and wearing black clothing.
