A snow plow broke the valve off of a propane tank on Premier Court in Burke this morning, causing a small leak.
Units arrived on scene shortly before 8 a.m. to monitor the situation and ensure there was no harm to residents, Fairfax County Fire and Rescue Department spokesman Dan Schmidt said. The small leak is now under control, he said.
Representatives from Washington Gas are currently on scene to repair the leak.
Schmidt did not indicate how long the repair would take.
