Victim Identified in Fatal Ox Road Crash

The woman who died was not wearing a seat belt.

responded to a crash on Ox Road at Zion Drive on Thursday, June 28, at about 12:50 p.m.

A 34-year-old Lorton-area woman was driving northbound on Ox Road in a 2005 Lexus LS430.

Margaret Brigidini, 71, of Fairfax, was driving southbound on Ox Road in a 2005 Lexus ES300.  She attempted to turn onto Zion Drive, near her home on Stanhope Place, and drove into the path of the Lexus LS430. The vehicles impacted in the intersection.

Brigidini died at the scene of the crash. She was not wearing a seatbelt.

The driver of the Lexus LS430, a 7-year-old boy and a 6-year-old girl were all transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The crash resulted in severe traffic along Ox Road for hours after the accident.

Police say at this time, speed and alcohol do not appear to be factors in the crash.  The investigation is still in progress.
