The reported one burglary, seven larcenies, and two vehicle thefts the week ending October 12.

BURGLARY

A home in the 8100 block of Dabney Avenue, Springfield, was burglarized at about 2:20 p.m. on Tuesday, October 11. Police investigating determined entry was forced through a door. A video game system and clothing were stolen.

8100 Block of Silverbrook Road - Cell phone stolen from business

8400 Thames Street - Baby tub stolen from residence

7900 Twist Lane - Generators stolen from vehicle

8600 Western Oak Drive - License plates stolen from vehicle

VEHICLE THEFTS

9300 Block of Ashmeade Drive - 2001 Ford truck

9100 Ridgley Drive - 2006 Ford Mustang

COUNTY-WIDE WEEKLY ARRESTS FOR SELECTED CHARGES

Fairfax County Police report there were

  • 34 arrests for domestic violence-related charges.
  • 71 arrests for illegal drug-related charges.
  • 81 arrests for DWI-related charges.
