Woman Assaulted While Walking Her Dog

The following information was supplied by the Fairfax County Police Department. Arrests or charges mentioned do not indicate a conviction.

police report the following in their July 6, 2012, weekly incident report.  Addresses shown indicate blocks and not specific locations.

Assault: On July 4 at about 12:30 a.m., a woman was walking her dog in the 4700 block of Americana Drive when an unknown man stopped to pet the dog. The man reached out and grabbed her in the groin. She defended herself and the suspect fled.

Unlawful Entry: A resident in the 9600 block of Church Way reported on June 28 that someone entered the home at about 11:15 a.m. by breaking the front door. The victim fled out the same front door and the suspect left without taking anything.

Burglary: Forced entry was made through a rear window into a home in the 9600 block of Westport Lane on June 28 at about 10 p.m. A resident reported  jewelry was stolen.

Burglary: On June 29 at about 6:40 a.m., a manager reported someone entered the pool in the 4100 block of Elizabeth Lane and stole cash. Entry was made through an unlocked door.

  • 6300 block of Bridgeton Court - Gun stolen from residence
  • 6600 block of Huntsman Boulevard - Wedding ring stolen from residence
  • 8900 Kiger Street - Prescription medication stolen from residence
  • 8000 block of Newington Forest Avenue - Cash stolen from vehicle
  • 5200 Port Royal Road - Tires stolen from business
  • 6100 Rolling Road - Laptop computer stolen from residence
