Woman Charged with Robbing McDonald's in Springfield

The suspect allegedly assaulted an employee, took cash and then fled in a vehicle.

Just before midnight on Monday, a woman allegedly robbed a McDonald's restaurant in Springfield, according to Fairfax County Police.

The restaurant is located at 5506 Backlick Road.

The suspect, Ericka Lynn Jenkins Miller, 32, of Flint Hill, Va., entered the fast-food restaurant and allegedly demanded cash. Flint Hill, located west of the DC area in Rappahannock County, is more than an hour away from Springfield.

The suspect allegedly assaulted an employee, took cash and then fled in a vehicle. A responding officer spotted the vehicle and pursued it to Interstate 495, where it crashed, according to police.

Miller was charged with robbery.
