Delegate Filler-Corn Holds Community Office Hours

Reaches Out Through Virtual Office Hours as well

Delegate Eileen Filler-Corn held her first community office hours today at Panera.

"We've had many people stop by just to meet her," Filler-Corn's legislative aide Missy Kimmelman said. "So many people think delegates are just about campaigning. This isn't about campaigning, it's about reaching out to people."

The informality of the meet-up at Panera on Rolling Road in Springfield allowed residents to grab coffee or food before talking to Filler-Corn.

"I think the key to serving the 41st district is really communicating and talking to as many people as possible," Filler-Corn said. "I'm always looking for new ways to reach out to people. Sometimes people don't know who to talk to. When I'm here, they feel like there's somebody they can talk to."

Filler-Corn said that future community office hours will be held at various locations, days of the week and times. Her office is also holding virtual office hours next Tuesday from 1 to 2 p.m on her website.
