Park Authority 101: March 5, 7:30 p.m. at .

Tony Vellucci, Braddock District representative to the Park Authority, will present a primer on the Fairfax County Park Authority. During the one-hour session, Vellucci will discuss the role of the Park Authority and their relationship with the Board of Supervisors. There also will be a discussion about park issues in the Braddock District. This class is targeted towards civic association and homeowner association (HOA) leadership, but is open to anyone. Community Information Meeting Regarding Proposed Turfing of Robinson Secondary School Athletic Fields: March 6, 7:30 p.m. at in the Blue Cafeteria.

Proposed plans to replace two natural surface grass fields on school property with artificial turf will be presented. The first location is at the football stadium for the school.  The second location is an existing field near the baseball/softball fields, located in the southwest quadrant of the school property near Sideburn Road and Commonwealth Boulevard. There will be a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period.

Mason University Community Forum: March 7, 7:30 - 9 p.m. in the meeting room at .

The meeting agenda includes an update on the Roanoke River Road project, Sustainable Chesapeake Storm Water Management along Rabbit Run, and an update on the vacant Kings West Swim Club conversion to a park. Additional topics will also be covered.

Community Information Meeting for Route 29 Widening: March 8, 7:30 - 9 p.m. at Eagle View Elementary School, 4500 Dixie Hill Road, Fairfax.

Members of the Fairfax County Department of Transportation and the consultants for this project will have a display of the plans for the widening of Highway 29 from Shirley Gate and Legato Road. There will be a brief presentation followed by a question and answer period.
