Planning Commission Defers 'Enclave of Burke' Development Decision

The commission was originally scheduled to accept or reject the application to build 13 homes in Burke back in November.

The Fairfax County Planning Commission will vote later this month on Madison Homes, Inc.'s application to build more than 10 homes in Burke.

The decision is currently on the agenda for the commission's Thursday, Jan. 16 meeting.

The rezoning application RZ 2013-SP-005, referred to as the "Enclave of Burke," was filed by Madison Homes in early 2013. The application requests to build 13 single-family detached homes on 5.28 acres of land on Spring Lake Drive in Burke adjacent to Calvary Christian Church.

Public hearings about the development were held in October and representatives from Madison Homes organized a community meeting last June.
