Santa Visits Burke on a Fire Truck

Santa will visit Burke neighborhoods throughout December atop .  The 2011 Santa Runs begin Friday, Dec. 2. 

The following list of neighborhoods and subdivisions includes street directions to help describe where and when Santa will visit.  The box numbers refer to the map used by Station 14 (attached as a pdf).

On weekdays Santa Runs take place between 6:30 and 9:00 p.m., and on weekends between 5:30 and 9:00 p.m.

Friday, Dec. 2 (Box 1403) - Santa will visit the neighborhoods of Edge Water and Spring Lake Farms.
Neighborhoods and streets off of Lake Meadow excluding Burke Woods.  Also neighborhoods and streets off of Spring Lake Dr. and Fallingbrook Dr. between Burke Lake Rd. and Westwood Manor Ct., and Summers Day Ct., Wilmington Dr. south of Burke Lake Rd. and Walthorne Ct.

Saturday, Dec. 3 (Box 1401) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of Lake Braddock and Greenfield Farm.
Neighborhoods and streets on or off of Winbourne Rd., Wallingford Dr., Ashburn Dr. and Lake Braddock to the west of Olley La.

Sunday, Dec. 4 (Box 1405) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of Meadowbrook and Fox Lair.
Neighborhoods that are directly west and northwest of Lake Braddock High School off the section of Lake Braddock Rd. north of Burke Lake Rd. up through Olley La.  Also those neighborhoods north of the VRE tracks but south of the section of Lake Braddock Rd south of Burke Lake Rd., including Renior Port, Queen Victoria Ct. and Bald Hill Pl.

Monday, Dec. 5 (Box 1412) - Santa will visit the neighborhoods of Queens Gate and Kings Grove.
Areas south of Braddock Rd., North of Guinea and East of Twinbrook.  Also neighborhoods and streets immediately off Olley Rd. through but no including Briar Patch.

Tuesday, Dec. 6 (Box 1414) - Santa will visit the neighborhoods of Edge Water, Avon Forest and Kilarney. Neighborhoods directly north and south of Burke Lake Rd. between Fairfax Co. Pkwy. and Kilkenny La., including Thode La. and Deckhand Dr.

Thursday, Dec. 8 (Box 1409) - Santa will visit the neighborhoods of Blue Ridge Cluster, Old Mill Community, Bent Tree, Burke Heights, Rolling Valley West and Keene Mill Woods.
Neighborhoods and streets east and west of Shiplette (excluding homes off Burning Branch, Candleberry, and Ashbridge.) and those north and south of Torrence St. (north of Old Keene Mill Rd.), and the neighborhoods and streets off of Covered Bridge.

Friday, Dec. 9 (Box 1410) - Santa will visit the neighborhood of Glen Cove the Village Park.
Neighborhoods and streets north of Guinea Rd., off of or near Zion Dr. and Falmead Rd. but south of the sharp turn at the top of the hill on Zion Rd.

Saturday, Dec. 10 (Box 1434) Part 1 of 2 - Santa will visit the neighborhoods of “Pepper Tree,” Orange Hill West,” Cherry Run” and “Burke Lake Meadow.”  Neighborhoods just south of Old Keene Mill Rd, neighborhoods just north and south of Iron Master Dr. to Lee Chapel Rd.  Also neighborhoods just east of Lee Chapel Rd through Onion Patch Dr.

Sunday, Dec. 11 (Box 1434) Part 2 of 2 - Santa will visit the neighborhoods of “Pepper Tree,” Orange Hill West,” Cherry Run” and “Burke Lake Meadow.”  Neighborhoods just north and south of Old Keene Mill Rd, neighborhoods just north and south of Iron Master Dr. to Lee Chapel Rd.  Also neighborhoods just east of Lee Chapel Rd through Onion Patch Dr.

Monday, Dec. 12 (Box 1400) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of “Burke Hill,” “Burke Village” and “Cardinal Glen.”Streets immediately off Burke Lake Rd. between the Burke Centre Pkwy and Burke Rd.  Including Harvester Ct. and the streets off Shiplette between Burning Branch and Burke Lake Rd.

Tuesday, Dec. 13 (Box 1411) – Santa will visit the neighborhood of “Lakepointe.”  Neighborhoods and streets between Pommeroy Dr, Commonwealth Blvd. and Guinea Rd. including Chatsworth Ct. and Lakepoint Dr.  South of Guinea Rd. include neighborhoods and streets off of Pierrpont Dr. and Lakepointe Dr

Thursday, Dec. 15 (Box 1408) - Santa will visit the neighborhood of “Kings Park West.”
Neighborhoods south/southeast and directly east of Laurel Ridge Elementary School off, or near to, Gainesborough Dr. up to Wyncliff La.

Friday, Dec. 16 (Box 1402 North) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods and streets off of or near Wards Grove Rd. and/r Coffer Woods Rd. from Burke Lake Rd. through Canvasback Rd. Also those streets off of School House Woods Ct.

Saturday, Dec. 17 (Box 1402 South) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods and streets surrounded by Burke Centre Pkwy to the east, Burke Lake Rd to the south, Belleair Rd. to the west and Winnepeg Dr. to the north.  Also those home and streets on or connected to Wheaton Dr.

Sunday, Dec. 18, Middleridge Subdivision

Monday, Dec. 19 (Box 1406) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of “Surrey Sq.,” “Maywood Terr.,” “Briarwood,” Vertain Park” and “Twinbrook.”  Also the neighborhoods and streets on or off of Twinbrook Rd. north of Braddock Dr., on or off Pickett Rd. south of Old Forge Park plus Braddock Green Ct.

Tuesday, Dec. 20 (Box 1407 South) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of “Dunleigh” and “Signal Hill.”  Plus those neighborhoods and streets on or off of Dunleigh Dr. and Dunleigh Ct. Also neighborhoods and streets south of Braddock Rd. but north of Parliament Dr. and east of the beginning of Thames St.

Wednesday, Dec. 21 (Box 1407 North) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of “Bradfield,” “Red Fox Forest” and “Stone Haven.” Neighborhoods north of Braddock Rd. but south of Long Branch Stream Valley Park, east of Wakefield Chapel Rd. and west of Red Fox Dr.  Also homes on Bradfield Dr. and King David Blvd (north of Braddock but south of Colt La) and streets directly connected to the two.

Thursday, Dec. 22 (Box 1404) – Santa will visit the neighborhoods of "Cardinal Estates" and "Heritage Sq."
Streets and neighborhoods directly off Burke Rd. or near Burke Rd. between Burke Lake Rd. and the Rolling Rd. VRE, as well as Packard Way and Burke Manor.

Friday, Dec. 23 - Make up night for any cancellations due to weather.
