Bobby Wahl Pitches Shut Out Against Florida
West Springfield High School grad pitched a career-long eight innings.
graduate and Ole Miss sophomore right-hander Bobby Wahl shut out top ranked Florida 3 - 0 Friday night.
"Bobby (Wahl) was tremendous," Ole Miss head coach Mike Bianco told The Mississippi Press. "He continued to make pitches even when it seemed like he fell behind. He was able to battle back and get into the strike zone. He just pitched a terrific game."
To top it off, Wahl also scored the winning run as a pinch runner. His performance on the mound and around the bases in the bottom of the ninth inning earned Wahl SEC Pitcher of the Week.
