Braddock District Leadership Institute

The Braddock District Community Engagement Initiative (“CEI”) continues with a half-day “Leadership Institute,” scheduled for Saturday, February 26, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Kings Park Library in Burke.  Last year, the program drew more than 60 community leaders who learned the “ins and outs” of HOA management, fiduciary responsibility and organizational building.

This year’s Leadership Institute will draw on past programming, but also add some new sessions. Developed by Braddock District Supervisor John C. Cook and County staff, the Institute is targeted for those who are, or wish to be, officers and directors of civic and homeowners’ associations and community-based volunteer and non-profit organizations.

Those who attend the workshop will learn about emergency planning, public safety, conflict resolution, and how to identify and leverage the assets in your community.  The program includes lunch.  Spots are limited.  Contact Ann Sharp at 703-425-9300 to sign up today.
