Burke Historical Society Meeting

Please join us at the Silas Burke House (the lovely white home at the top of the hill, with the historic marker in front), built ca. 1824.  Tom Moncure, University Council for George Mason University, will speak on the topic, "George Mason, the Statesman."  Refreshments will be served.

The Burke Historical Society is a group of local enthusiasts interested in exploring and preserving the history of Burke.  We are seeking new members who share this interest.  No commitment is needed; all are welcome!

Tom Moncure was appointed as University Counsel for George Mason University in January of 2006, following service as Senior Counsel for two Attorneys General. His prior legal experience includes corporate practice in Washington, and general state trial practice in and about Stafford County.
