Recently elected members of the Fairfax County School Board took the oath of office on Monday, Dec. 19, at Luther Jackson Middle School.
School Board members include: Megan McLaughlin (Braddock District), Jane Strauss (Dranesville District), Pat Hynes (Hunter Mill District), Tamara Derenak Kaufax (Lee District), Sandy Evans (Mason District), Dan Storck (Mount Vernon District), Patty Reed (Providence District), Elizabeth Schultz (Springfield District), Kathy Smith (Sully District), Ryan McElveen (at large), Ilryong Moon (at large), and Ted Velkoff (at large).
The new School Board members will assume their official duties on Jan. 1, 2012.
