The annual exhibition will showcase art from more than 40 Fairfax County Public Schools art teachers.

Four art teachers from Burke and Springfield-area schools will have their work featured in Fairfax County Public Schools' (FCPS) sixth annual Artist Teacher Exhibition next month.

A total of 41 teachers were chosen for the exhibition, including:

  • Jennifer Diglio, Robinson Secondary School
  • Deborah Fitzgerald, Lake Braddock Secondary School
  • Jennifer LoPresti, Rolling Valley Elementary School
  • Josephine Stokes, Lake Braddock Secondary School

More than 50 pieces of artwork from the teachers will be on display at the Workhouse Arts Center Vulcan Gallery from Wednesday, Dec. 4 through Sunday, Jan. 12. The exhibition is open to the public.

The works were selected from all submissions by juror Sarah Eckhardt, Assistant Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Virginia Museum of Fine Art, from over 200 submissions, according to a news release from FCPS.

There will be a reception for the artists and their works on Dec. 14 from 6-9 p.m. at the Workhouse Arts Center Vulcan Gallery, located at 9601 Ox Rd., in Lorton.
