Give with Target: Vote to Help Your Burke-Area School Win Supplies
You can vote online to get your school a share of up to $5 million in donations nationwide.
Fairfax County Public Schools students officially returned to school on Tuesday, and most parents are likely double checking their lists, trying to make sure their child has all of the supplies they'll need for the school year.
Target is giving parents, residents and communities a chance to receive free school supply donations for the school of their choice. Target is running an online campaign where, if a school gets 25 votes on its Give With Target website, the retailer will donate $25 to the school, and an additional dollar for every vote after that.
A total of 22 Burke-area schools are participating in the campaign (and have the following number of votes as of Sept. 3):
- Bonnie Brae Elementary School (17 votes)
- Burke Alternative Learning Center (1 vote)
- Burke Presbyterian Church School (0 votes)
- Cardinal Forest Elementary School (4 votes)
- Cherry Run Elementary School (65 votes)
- Hunt Valley Elementary School (32 votes)
