GMU Concert to Showcase Students

The concert is scheduled for May 6.

An upcoming concert at will showcase the talents of four scholarship students in the school of music.

The Young Masters Concert: The Annual School of Music Scholarship Event will take place on May 6 at 7 p.m. at the .

The scholars include pianist HyunJi Kim, vocalist and pianist Emma McDermott, pianist Wade Meyers and classical guitarist Matt Trkula.

Trkula grew up the Fairfax Station area and attended before graduating from . The other students are also local to the Northern Virginia area.

The concert is dedicated in the memory of Donald de Laski, who was a longtime donor to the university.

Tickets for the concert are $20 for adults and $15 for students and seniors. Patrons are also invited to attend the post-concert. Concert tickets can be purchased by calling 888-945-2468, visiting cfa.gmu.edu or at the Center for the Arts Box Office, open Tuesday through Saturday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m..

This will be a stellar event. The talent at Mason is fantastic. I believe that the gala Reception following the concert requires a ticket purchase..
