Lake Braddock Girls' Volleyball Dig Pink®

Teams raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

Girls' Volleyball teams raised nearly $2,700 during the school's third annual Dig Pink® event Monday. 

Dig Pink® is The Side-Out Foundation’s trademark name for its fundraising events in support of beating breast cancer.

Rick Dunatez, founder of The Side-Out Foundation, said “It is so much more than wearing pink jerseys and having fun.   It’s about finding a cure.”

Since the foundation was established in 2004, volleyball teams nationwide have raised approximately $4 million for breast cancer education, research and patient support.
