The win was extra sweet for Sarah Price, captain of the Lake Braddock Varsity Cheerleading squad, and the other cheerleaders on the gymnastics team.  Last fall Lake Braddock's cheerleading squad was forced from the Patriot District finals due to a judging and competition error.  The team believed the action robbed them of the Patriot District title.

Price, a former gymnast, decided to try-out for the gymnastics team.  She hadn't competed in three years.  She joined several fellow cheerleaders already on the gymnastics team, including Courtney Galligan, April Schwartz, Jackie Polis, Rory Hatch and Lizzie White, in their goal to win the Patriot District gymnastics title.  They succeeded.
