Lake Braddock Students 'Got Music'

Students raise money for the Lake Braddock Music Department.

Some 200 students from music department brought music to the streets of Burke and Springfield last month, as part of their "Got Music" fundraiser.

Under the direction of directors Megan Cartwright, Beth Reed and Amy Von Bernewitz-Wright, the combined groups performed at 12 locations -- including , TauTua, Trader Joe's and -- raising almost $2,500,

“Money will go toward instruments, sheet music, accompanists, microphones and other music supplies,” said Cartwright.

Donations are still being accepted.  Checks should be written to LBVMB, and sent to Megan Cartwright at Lake Braddock Secondary School, 9200 Burke Lake Rd, Burke, 22015.
