Since all finalists are winners, each publication will later receive a Silver or Gold Crown in March 2013 at the CSPA’s spring convention in New York.

A panel of judges composed of advisors from various schools and states reviewed a total of 1,344 digital, newspapers, magazines and yearbooks entries at Columbia University from Dec. 8-10 and selected each of the finalists. Only entries printed in the 2011-2012 academic year were eligible for judging in the 2013 Crown Awards program, the CSPA website states.
