Area Athletes Make All-District Baseball Teams

Several students from Robinson, Lake Braddock and West Springfield gained this honor.

Several area athletes gained spots on the all-district baseball teams for both the Patriot and Concorde Districts.

Lake Braddock's Kenny Towns gained the title of Player of the Year for the Patriot District. Towns, a senior, was also named to the first team as a utility player. Sophomore outfielder Thomas Rogers, senior outfielder Ryan Owens and junior pitcher Michael Church all made the first team from Lake Braddock as well. Senior shortstop Michael Quinteros made the second team.

From West Springfield, senior third baseman Trevor Snook made the first team. Junior outfielder Daniel Allen, junior designated hitter Connor Tagg, senior pitcher Michael Simko and senior pitcher J.T. Williamson all made the second team.

Robinson baseball players performed well in the Concorde District as well. Senior outfielder Jared Velasquez grabbed a spot on the first team, while sophomore third baseman Chase Bailey, junior utility player Matt Spalding, and senior pitcher Connor Grayber placed on the second team. Honorable Mentions were given to junior second baseman Patrick Baker, senior outfielder Bobby Bray and junior pitcher Dennis Mikush.
