Jared Velasquez: "I don't have any personal expectations or goals. I am just focused on our team making it to the state championship."

Harty: "Have you thought about where you would like to attend college next fall and if you want to play football there?"

Velasquez: "I'd like to play football in college; it just depends on what school wants me to play. My favorite school is LSU."

Harty: "What are your impressions of the win last Friday against TC Williams High School? Any key players that stood out in your mind?"

Velasquez: "I thought the team played pretty well as a whole. We came into the game fired up and ready to go. The one play that stood out in my mind was Ethan Steen's touchdown off the blocked field goal. That really got the team pumped up."

Harty: "How does it feel playing in your last year for Robinson with college right around the corner?"

Velasquez: "It feels great being a senior. This year is going to be amazing being at the top of school. Once everyone heads off in their own direction for college next fall, the story is going to be a lot different."

Harty: "Do you have any special pregame rituals or superstitions?"

Velasquez: "I really don't do the same exact thing before every game although I always make sure to pray to the man upstairs and ask him to keep me safe."
