Top of Boys Rankings Gets Crowded
Herndon, Chantilly, Annandale all gaining on T.C. Williams
Stability is the word in the Patch Northern Region Boys Basketball Coaches Poll, as six of the top eight spots remain unchanged with Woodson and Edison flip-flopping in the No. 5 and No. 6 spots. Herndon narrowed T.C. Williams’ grip on the top spot thanks to No. 4 Annandale’s win over the Titans last week. All 10 teams from last week’s rankings remained this week, with Westfield forcing a tie in the last spot with Yorktown.

Poll sees a shakeup behind Oakton, West Springfield

Oakton and West Springfield held onto the top two spots in the Patch Northern Region Girls Basketball Coaches Poll this week. Behind them, there was plenty of reshuffling, as only Edison held onto its spot at No. 4.
Stone Bridge jumped up to No. 3 from No. 6, Madison plummeted to No. 10 from No. 5, and Westfield, ranked sixth last week, fell out of the rankings.
Despite a loss to No. 2 West Springfield, South County continued its steady ascent in the rankings, moving to No. 7 from No. 9.
