South Run Pool Party & Outdoor Movie

As part of Springfield Days, South Run RECenter is hosting a Party in the Park and OutdoorFest from 4 to 10 p.m.  Take a hayride through the woods and learn about who lived in South Run District Park before it was a park. Join naturalists for a unique walk to learn about native plants and animals. Play the games early Fairfax County children would have played, and get up close with some of the woodland residents from 4 to 8 p.m.  Cool off at the pool party and tour the RECenter from 6 to 8 p.m.  The evening culminates with the fun, family-friendly movie, Kung-Fu Panda, on a giant, inflatable screen in the grassy area behind the RECenter.
