Froede Nets Game-Winner, Athlete of the Week

Senior's late goal gives Lake Braddock key win over Woodson

Last Wednesday, Ali Froede sent her first scoring chance against Patriot District-rival Woodson clanking off one of the goal posts. Her second found the back of the net, but was disallowed for being too high.

She wouldn't let her third go by the boards.

Froede's goal with two minutes left broke a 1-1 tie and propelled Lake Braddock to a 2-1 victory, improving the Bruins to 10-1 on the season. The senior forward, who will continue her field hockey career at Miami (Ohio) University next year, has six goals and four assists this season.
