Spring Wildflowers Are in Bloom in the Woods in Parks in This Area

NOW is the time to see Virginia bluebells and numerous other wildflowers in bloom in low wet areas in parks throughout northern Virginia. Go take a walk!

It's the perfect time for seeing Virginia bluebells, spring beauties (pink or white), violets (white, purple, mixed colors, or even yellow), windflowers, trout lilies, stellaria, and other wildflowers in low areas near streams. Lake Accotink Park has hundreds and hundreds in bloom. Behind Wakefield Recreation Center, you can probably find signs that guide you across a field to the bluebell walk in the woods. Huntley Meadows Park, Holmes Run Park, and numerous other parks in northern Virginia are probably also gorgeous. Go take a walk! You can stay on dry trails and see fields of flowers in the woods.
