Braddock District Council Meeting, Library Board of Trustees Meeting

Happy Monday, Burke! Today is Sept. 9. Here's a look at some of the events coming up in our area this week you should look out for.

1. The Fairfax County Public Library Board of Trustees will meet Wednesday to discuss proposed changes to the staffing structures at county libraries. The meeting will be at the George Mason Regional Library, located at 7001 Little River Turnpike, in Annandale. The meeting, which is open to the public, starts at 7 p.m.
2. The Burke Centre Library is looking for teen volunteers between the ages of 12-18 to help out with their reading programs.
3. The Braddock District Council will meet on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Braddock Hall in the Kings Park Library.
4. Ready for some football? West Springfield High School will face Herndon High School at home on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. 
5. There will be an Ox Road Estates community meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. at Fairview Elementary School, located at 5815 Ox Road, Fairfax Station.
