Robinson Marketplace, West Springfield CAC Meeting, Election Day

Five things to look forward to in Burke this week.

There's plenty happening in and around Burke in the next few days. Here's a glimpse at just five events going on this week.

  1. The Robinson Secondary School Parent-Teacher Student Association (PTSA) will host its 3rd Annual Robinson Marketplace on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. There will be several craft vendors selling handmade items. Entry is free, but there will be a raffle and silent auction, so visitors are encouraged to purchase raffle tickets online.
  2. Election Day is TuesdayCheck out our Voter's Guide for everything you need to know before you hit the poll. Our Elections section is also a good resource for all things Election-related in Virginia.
  3. The West Springfield District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department will host their monthly Citizens' Advisory Committee (CAC) meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 5 at 7:30 p.m. Vickie Moore, from the Wildlife Section of the Animal Services Division of the Fairfax County Police Department, will be the guest speaker. 
  4. The Friends of the Kings Park Library Book Sale starts Thursday, Nov. 7 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The three-day book sale will be at Kings Park Library, located at 9000 Burke Lake Rd.
  5. Northern Virginia Community College (NOVA) will host a college-wide open house for active-duty service members, veterans and family members on Saturday, Nov. 9 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the NOVA-Annandale Campus, located at 8333 Little River Turnpike.
