Secret Santa, Snow Day, Meet the Rotarians and More This Week

Here are five things to look forward to in Burke this week.



  1. Snow Day: Fairfax County Public Schools and several Fairfax County government offices are closed todayHere's a list of all of the known closures for today due to the weather.
  2. Meet the Rotarians: The Rotary Club of Burke will host their next meeting from 7:30-8:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Brion's Grille, located at 123 and Braddock Rd. The event is open to the public and costs $11 to attend. Details.
  3. Secret Santa: Burke United Methodist Church will host their 4th Annual Santa's Secret Workshop on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church, which is located at 6200 Burke Center Parkway. The event is geared toward helping survivors of domestic and sexual violence as well as families in need by giving them a place to shop for the perfect gifts for their families, extended families, and even pets at no cost to them. Details.
  4. Popcorn Fundraiser: Cub Scout troop Pack 1344 is raising money to send packages of popcorn to troops overseas. Details.
