Pet Photos with Santa, Festival of Lights, Secret Santa

Looking to get out and have some fun this weekend after all of the snow earlier this week? Here's a look at some holiday events happening this weekend in Fairfax County.

Secret Santa: Burke United Methodist Church will host their 4th Annual Santa's Secret Workshop on Saturday at 10 a.m. at the church, which is located at 6200 Burke Center Parkway. The event is geared toward helping survivors of domestic and sexual violence as well as families in need by giving them a place to shop for the perfect gifts for their families, extended families, and even pets at no cost to them. Details.

Pet Photos with Santa Claus: The Columbia Pike Animal Hospital in Annandale will host "pets with Santa" photo session on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is free, but the hospital is accepting donations. All donations will go to support the Christian Veterinary Mission. Columbia Pike Animal Hospital is located at 4205 Evergreen Ln. in Annandale.

Herndon Holiday Model Train Show: Dec. 14, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Dec. 15, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Herndon Municipal Center, 777 Lynn St., Herndon. W&OD caboose and Herndon Depot Museum also open for tours.  Call 703-437-5556 for more information.

Bull Run Festival of Lights: Through Jan. 5, just off of Interstate 66 on Route 29 (Lee Highway) in Centreville. The Northern Virginia Regional Park Authority says they expect to see more than 30,000 cars drive through the holiday light display before it ends Jan. 5. Find out more here.
