We started going to Burke Animal Clinic almost 30 years ago, moved away for a while, and are now back. We couldn't be happier with the care our pets have received from the veterinarians there. We have found the entire staff to be compassionate, professional, and innovative. We would (and do) HIGHLY recommend Burke Animal Clinic!!

I have been going to Burke Animal Clinic for nearly 30 years (even though I now live in Falls Church)! Dr. Herrity's expansion into progressive, non-traditional medicine (bicom, VOM, stem cell) is fantastic and the bicom and VOM treatments have made a world of difference for my two dogs. I love the entire staff there - they are friendly and committed to the health of my pets. I send everyone I know to Burke!
Burke Animal Clinic is the BEST!!!! They have a wonderful staff, very knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate. Dr. Herrity offers a cutting edge approach to pet care, including stem cell therapy and VOM. I became a client when my other vet disappointed me, and I will never go back!
I've been going to Burke Animal Clinic for 14 years. Dr. Herrity cared for my sweet lab Isabo and helped improve her quality of life towards the end of her life with some wonderful, innovative therapies. All the doctors are very compassionate and provide very personal service. They also work with a few rescues in the area providing discounted spay/neuter and medical services. Costs are reasonable for this area in general. I travel from Falls Church because they're the best!
This vet has taken care of all my family's pets for 26 years now. They are knowledgable, caring, and supportive (from annual check-ups to emergencies). They take the time to get to know each of our animals with unique health problems. They go above and beyond to provide the personal touch and really look after our pets during visits as if they were their own.
It's always a pleasure to go into an exam room and see a photo of one of our cats or dogs in the photo collage or to see Puck, the vet cat, there sunning himself in front of the window.
There is no vet in the area I would trust as I trust all the staff at Burke Animal Clinic.

We actually go to 2 vets in the area. We've been going to Village Vet since 1983. In November 1011 when one of our dogs was diagnosed with an ACL tear they scheduled surgery for the next day. There was never a mention of any alternative treatment, even when I asked if there was one. I started reading up on ACL tears in dogs and found a wealth of information, including how invasive the surgery is, how long it takes to re-coup from it and how painful it can be. Not to mention over 80% of dogs with this tear end up tearing the other one too! I found information about Dr. Herrity's unique work with VOM, laser treatments and stem cell treatments and decided to go in for a consult. I am so glad we did! We cancelled the surgery, took him off the 2 pain pills he was on and started laser/VOM treatments immediately. Three months later, after no surgery and no pain pills our dog is not limping at all and he feels great. We still have him on limited exercise to complete the healing process but we couldn't be more pleased with the result. Not to mention the fantastic service we've received at Burke Animal Clinic from all the staff, including the techs and of course Dr. Herrity our new hero! You can't go wrong taking your pets to this clinic, they are healers not just doctors!
