WASHINGTON - A nationally known taekwondo coach has been indicted for alleged inappropriate sexual contact with two minor girls.

Quyen Vinh Phan Le, 38 of Springfield was indicted on seven felony counts for incidents that occurred at the Phan University of Martial Arts in the 9500 block of Old Keene Mille Road and at the suspect's home in the 6000 block of Larkspur Drive.

Without any second thoughts, I picked 5 stars rating to this facility and Master Li's school for their efforts not just to teach Martial Arts but to help kids develop their paersonality. Master Li and his associate work very clsoely with kids. Both our kids are enrolled in this school and we are extremely pleased witht the outcome. Result of learning self defense at PUMA is building self confidence, learning control, teamwork and respect. I strongly recommend this facility to fellow parents.

Phan University of Martial Arts is an exceptional school. This school teaches kids to believe in themselves that anything is possible if you work hard on it. With the guidance of Master Le, and his strict discipline methods, my kids become more focus, responsible, and respectful as well. My kids, ages 12, 9, and 5 enjoyed learning martial arts, and throughout the lesson, their confident show dramatically. They also improved on their school grade as well as positive behavor in school and at home. I'm glad I found this school, and feel safe to know that my kids is in the right place, not only they learn martial art, but life lesson as well. This school make their students shine, and I highly recommended.

No school deserves this award more than the Phan University of Martial arts. This is the school to go to if you are looking for top-notch teaching. I am a long-time student. Through the years Master Phan's relentless encouragement has helped develop kids and adults alike in all aspects of their life. He takes time to listen to the students and parents, the classes are small, and Master Phan gives individual attention. He emphasizes discipline without taking away from the fun that is learning. Through the years he has helped many kids become responsible young adults, and some of them have pursued the competition side of martial arts. He has helped his students make national teams where they represent the USA in international tournaments.So if you are looking for a place where the traditional values of martial arts are emphasized and where the quality of intruction is such that the students shine in the competitive arena, this is the place to go to.

Phan University is a hidden treasure found in the back corner of Burke Town Plaza. Master Phan Le puts emphasis on multiple aspects of the martial arts, from the traditional to the sports side. He also makes sure that students find a balance between maintaining a positive relationship with family, earning good grades in school, and having an all around well-balanced life. I have been a student of Master Phan Le for 15 years, and I can say that his method of teaching is one that makes a positive impact on your life. With a smaller class size, students are able to get more personable lessons, and can gain a lot more out of it. Master Phan Le is an excellent instructor who knows how to effectively teach any student at any age. I highly recommend this school!

Phan University is a great martial arts school and Master Q V Phan Le is a wonderful instructor and coach. My children, ages 18, 15 and 8 attend Phan University since 2006. Master Q V Phan Le has been a great instructor, mentor and role model to my children. He teaches them to be strong physically as well as mentally. He mentors them to deal with peers pressure and daily life challenges. Ever since my children attend Phan University they gain confidence and learn to focus and discipline themselves to complete any task with ease. Master Q V Phan Le provides the highest quality in his martial arts teaching. His student’s ability in performing martial arts technique and the ability to defense themselves far exceed students from local martial arts school. My children started martial when they were 5 years old and have attended a couple of martial arts school in the area. We were not satisfied with the other school programs due to the lack of serious instructors as well as the quality of their teaching. At Phan University, my children test for belt promotion only when they have train hard and proven their ability is ready to be at the next level. As for other local martial arts school, my children were given belt promotion because they have attend the school for a certain period of time, not because of their ability. I highly recommend Phan University.

Master Phan Li has a talent and skill to motivate kids to work hard to earn not just a championship but also "respect". It is our pleasure to have such a school in our neighborhood.

Phan University is a great school! I'm personally not comfortable dropping off my child and going elsewhere while he practices so I had many opportunities to watch my 8 yr old's practice. From the initial enrollment to the scheduled practices, staff members were very personable. During practices the teens assisting in the instruction were diligent and paid attention to the task at hand rather than distracting each other with conversation amongst themselves. The children light up when Master Phan Le steps out. He is very disciplined yet it doesn't stifle his encouragement of the children. My son, at one point, was showing strength in kicking versus punching so he took us aside and discussed ways to balance this as well as opportunities that could be taken to enhance this using other martial art forms. From a parent's perspective this spoke volumes because he was in it for the betterment of the child not just to take my money and teach what we enrolled him in. I'm glad we found the dojo and happy with our experiences there.

Phan University of Martial Arts is the best martial arts school in Burke and in the Washington, DC region. The small classes and individual attention coupled with a traditional emphasis on family,academics, and martial arts ensure that students improve and benefit from Master Q. V. Phan Le's instruction. Parents as well quickly see the benefits of Master Le's instruction as their children become more focused in school and more respectful at home. In addition, students with special needs are very welcome. And for adults, the classes push you to new heights and achievements, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I have been a student at this school for about 8 years, and more recently worked with the team and now help out in the office. I see the benefits of the school in the students and parents every day. Many students go on to college and successful careers in information technology, education, science, and liberal arts. I highly recommend this school.

The Phan University of Martial Arts provides not only great martial arts instruction from one of the top instructors in the nation, it also follows the historic traditions to develop the whole person that follows the "martial arts" way.
