The food is always great at Villa Bella, but lately the service that I have gotten has been very poor. It shouldn't ever take more than 15 minutes to even bring glasses of water to a table. I usually feel forgotten at this restaurant, and think that I will find another place to go when I'm craving Italian. I'd rather eat food of a lesser quality and at least get decent service during my dining experience.
We had a very "OK" experience on 3/7. The food is good. The restaurant is quite noisy, so if you are looking for quiet Italian dining, this probably isn't the place to be.
We had server who, I guess his shift ended during our meal. He just didn't show back up to our table at all after the entre was served. The rest of the staff did not notice...it was 30 minutes of wondering what was going on before we were told that he had just 'gone home.'

I agree that service could be better. Wait staff apparently need to be instructed to check in on customers throughout their meal and not just leave the food and disappear...however....despite some issues with service, the food is still AWESOME and I love, love, love the atmosphere! It's a bit noisy...but that's part of the ambience. When you walk in it's as if you've been transported to an Italian plaza...so the noise gives it that much more of a reality factor.
