Police: 103 Vehicles Stolen in Burke Area in 2012
West Springfield Police District sees decline from 115 vehicles stolen in 2010, most recent year statistics are available.
A preliminary police report shows that a grand total of 812 vehicles were reported stolen in 2012 in Fairfax County — 103 of which were reported in the West Springfield Police District. FCPD saw a decline in vehicle thefts compared to 2011 and 2010 when 881 and 963 vehicles were reported stolen countywide respectively. West Springfield saw three police districts in the county with more vehicle thefts and four with fewer. Sully Police District reported the lowest number of vehicle thefts among the county's police districts. Mount Vernon reported the most.
