Wednesday's win was the Ram's fifth consecutive.
The Robinson boys tennis team overcame both the Herndon Hornets and cold, rainy game-time conditions to record their fifth consecutive win Wednesday, keeping them atop the Concorde District. Jacob Schreiman finished off the #4 singles, 10 - 0. At #5, senior David Weinberg was close behind winning 10 - 2. Amit Gupta won his #2 singles using his attacking style. Brian Bui won easily at #4. Austin Mathews, subbing in at #6, had a slow start but began to play more confidently as the match developed. He won 10 - 6. In the most interesting match, Ram's sophomore Aaron Christian and senior Josh Albertson slugged it out, with Christian taking the win. He attacked weak serves with big returns and was on the hunt for short balls to dominate. The …

Patrick Baker rushes for 145 yards in victory, Rams grab second victory of the season
Payback is sweet. Payback against a bitter rival is even sweeter. Robinson waited 11 months to repay Lake Braddock for dispatching them from the playoffs last November, in a hard fought 24-23 losing effort. Friday evening was their chance. Robinson hosted Lake Braddock in Friday night football action. The Rams avenged last year’s postseason loss and defeated crosstown rival Lake Braddock 24-7, giving the team their second win of the season. “It feels great. We started off 1-5 and it could have been easy for them to hang their heads. Braddock is a good football team,” said first-year Robinson head coach Trey Taylor. “We’re on our third quarterback this season and made some changes on offense. These kids are resilient and they want to win. …

Everyone is entitiled to their own opinion, including Hank Williams, Jr. It's the Networks choice to …   more ›
