Burke residents not heading to New Orleans for Mardi Gras on Feb. 12 can still celebrate "Fat Tuesday" a little closer to home by enjoying a little king cake. The colorful cakes, traditionally made out of sweetened yeast bread and sprinkled with colored sugar, are baked as part of a Mardi Gras tradition in New Orleans.
