Fairfax County Seeks Resident Feedback on New Land Use Initiative
The initiative, called Fairfax Forward, will serve as an alternative to the current system used by the county to make land use decisions.
Fairfax County residents have a little more than two weeks left to leave submit comments on the new Fairfax Forward initiative which will be an alternative to the Area Plans Review (APR) process for managing the county’s Comprehensive Plan. Representatives from the Fairfax County Department of Planning and Zoning gave community presentations on Fairfax Forward last summer. Through the initiative, Fairfax County hopes to increase community involvement by updating parts of the Comprehensive Plan such as the Comprehensive Land Use Plan Map and the Future Development Land Classification System.
