Virginia's Independent voters go for Romney or Santorum over Obama.
Virginians aren’t happy with the choices on the GOP ballot for the Republican presidential primary coming up on March 6, according to a new poll conducted by Christopher Newport University. Conducted for the Richmond Times-Dispatch, the statewide survey shows that 57 percent of Republicans and Independents are not happy with the choices. The university’s Wason Center for Public Policy conducted the survey of 1,018 registered voters from Feb. 4-13. The candidates on the Super Tuesday ballot are former Massachusetts Gov. Albo among eight state co-chairs.
Del. Dave Albo (R-42nd District) has been named by Republican presidential candidate front-runner Mitt Romney to a state leadership team to lay the groundwork for the Romney campaign in Virginia. "These additional members of our team will strengthen our efforts in the state," Bolling said. "Virginians expect our next president to reverse the failed policies of …

Holiday cards, messages and photos from politicians—especially those running for office—tend to get scrutinized more often than the average greeting. The official White House holiday card, which was started in 1953 with President Eisenhower, has made news this year, after it was attacked by Sarah Palin, former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential nominee because it was bereft of family or a holiday tree, and only showed the family dog, Bo. Palin told Fox News that she found it "odd" that the card emphasizes the dog instead of…

I'm not happy with the choices because I'm not happy with the GOP platform. I can't vote for the Dems who are controlled by the unions and who want us to become a European style socialist nation. I don't like that the GOP is intent on imposing its social morality on us. They aren't listening to the Tea Party people who want to return to personal freedom and small government. But worst of all, …   more ›
