The Citizen Police Academy is one of a handful of initiatives from the station to educate the community about police enforcement efforts.
The West Springfield District Station of the Fairfax County Police Department is sponsoring a version of the Citizen Police Academy (CPA) as part of their new initiatives for 2013. The CPA is mostly geared toward residents who live or work in the Greene Hills Estates in Springfield, which is south of Burke. The program is free to all. Children ages 5-11 years can also particpate. "The Citizen Police Academy is one of the many initiatives and partnerships we are involved in to ensure safe communities," said Capt.
